Lemon Cream Cheese Pound Cake

Ingredients

Cake:
  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups butter, softened
  • 1 8-ounce cream cheese
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon lemon extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon orange extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 cups cake flour
Glaze:
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter, softened
  • 2 teaspoons grated lemon peel
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  1. Put the Flexipan® Mold or Tray on the Perforated Baking Sheet.
  2. Pour two thirds of the batter in the Mold and use the other third for muffins or a small cake (the Daisy Mold is perfect for a small cake).
  3. Bake at 325 degrees for approximately 1 1/2 hours – or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  4. Mix glaze ingredients at high speed until thick enough to pour over the cake.
  5. Slice lemons and oranges with the Mandoline and fill the center of the cake.
  6. Simply beautiful!
